August F. Köhr instruments represent a step-up from the step-ups. Crafted with better tonewoods, hand-graduated to produce more resonant acoustic properties, the K550 model is well suited for players who desire an open sound withbig projection, medium-voice, rich tone throughout.

  • Medium satin, red-brown to gold-brown finish.
  • Ebony Parisian eye pegs and endbutton
  • Despiau “C” level bridge

  • Thomastik Dominant A, D, & G strings with Pirastro Gold Label E (loop end E).
  • 4/4, 3/4 & 1/2 sizes available. (Fractional sizes set up with Dominant E.) 3/4 & 1/2 sizes are by special order only.
