The Scott Cao Kreisler is copied after a violin made in 1730 by Guarneri "del Gesu" that was owned and played by Fritz Kreisler. Hand-carved from European tone-woods, Scott Cao's interpretation of the original violin is well-executed and beautifully crafted to produce a clear, sweet tone with excellent playability.
We feel very strongly that no specimen can exemplify del Gesu in his mature youth more strikingly than the 1733 Kreisler. It stands at the threshold of the master's redemption from the past, with the f-holes still revealing his indebtedness to Stradivari while the model and form of the instrument are all his own.
Reproductions of the 1733 Kreisler are available in the STV 750, 850, 950 and 1500 models by Scott Cao. All models of Scott Cao Violins are professionally setup and ready to play. Click here to learn more about the differences between the Scott Cao violin models.
