1957 Georg Kelischek 16" 5-String Viol

This Viola is a beautiful example of Georg Kelischek's early work before he moved to the USA from Germany. There has been a crack in the top which has been repaired, and the endbutton has been moved from the back of the instrument to the top. It also appears that there were mechanical tuners installed at one point, but they have since been professionally replaced with boxwood pegs. Otherwise, this instrument shows normal wear for its age.
